ESWC announce NVIDIA link
The Electronic Sports World Cup is one of the most important tournaments in eSports today. Many players from around the globe fights for the glory and prizes. Ever since it's birth, the Grand Final has been held in France, but around one week ago,
the organizers suprised us with information that ESWC 2008 will be in 
California, USA.
As rumoured on several sites, the ESWC was moved to California to get NVIDIA as their main sponsor. As of today, those rumours has been confirmed, as the ESWC has officially announced their link with NVIDIA who disbanded their sponsorship just one year ago. Here you can find official statement written by Matthieu Dallon, CEO of games-service:

ESWC champions rely on NVIDIA technology to give them the killer edge in competition. ESWC 2008 is a milestone for us as the Grand Final will be held in the USA for the first time. We made the decision to move because we felt it will be great for competitors, spectators and e-sports as a whole. It's part of our continuing efforts to ensure ESWC's skilled cyber-athletes gain the recognition they deserve by creating our most spectacular event ever in California. With representatives from all over the world, this will be a truly global event." |
