Uhm actually, most of the fps gamers that i have been in clan with, have for some reason trained martial arts, including myself. I guess it somehow trains some skills usefull to the whole fps gaming aspect.
Anyway, i tried training weights for about 3 days... and i just find it plain boring, sports are fun, weight training and going to the gym :((( And the times i havn't gone to training was because i was to dull, its such a pain having to get all prepared to go take a bus and all... but once you are out of your house, its a real relief. And you feel good about yourself afterwards ;) If i cant kill you with my M4 ILL!! errh POKE YOU IN THE EYE

Well, that's about the only thing that might be kind of hard to get past in the beginning, but once you start to see the progress after a month or so you get really motivated and can't wait for next time.
Martial arts are also a good way to train, perhaps even better. The only negative thing about it is how much it costs. Not everyone can afford it, besides you don't need to be able to fight to look prep. Although some people value being able to fight and be strong without looking like it more than having big muscles ^_- I'm marking trees.. Because these are the ones that I like.

I tried martial arts once, when I was younger, couldn't stick with it. Mostly how I get my exercise is run, jog, hike every where, considering I am around a lot of second-hand smoke. Never have been one much for upper body type of stuff.
It is human to err, to really screw up you need a computer!

I'm a innerbandy Goalie. It's really something that works well together with my FPS gaming. Reaction time goes up both ways :P

It's my impression that most of the gamers on the top levels are NOT overweight. You just need to check the pictures on the wc3l-site for example. Not many there look fat. Trained muscles give you higher precision and lower reaction times (at least in my experience). I'm a wimp myself. I don't do any sports or martial arts. All I do is push-ups and stuff like that, but it's enough for me :) At least I'm not fat.

Actually not all gamers are fat nerds...
I run 6 miles every morning Then the boxing gym for the afternoon I weigh 140 lbs with 5% body fat. | |

It was more of a humorous look on things, few nerds are fat, I for one am very athletic. But people not so familiar with the gamingworld think of us as big, fat, slobby, lazy creatures. At least that's my experince from around here ^.-

I think most pro gamers arent in very good shape. As for me, i Weight lift all the time, except during wrestling season, have to give my body time to recover between workouts. Moreover i do think there is enough time in the day to work out or w/e just most ppl make up excuses not to
