Already at the ESWC 2007 event the Polish powerhouse and Counter-Strike tournament winner PGS Gaming and the G7 federation got in contact in order to add another successful gaming team as a member for their organization.

"G7s ambition is that more gaming organizations will see the added value and purpose of a "joint voice" representing teams and organizations and that the G7 can therefore expand as an e-sport federation."

This means that the strong Polish organization is going to support the eSport by being an official G7 team but also by strengthening this federation.

At the moment the G7 teams count eleven members from all over the world. Below you can find two statements of both sides:

"As the leading force in Poland it is our concern to contribute to the growth of electronic sports worldwide, to elucidate what is behind "esports" and to inspire others to become a part of it. We are delighted to do so in conjunction with the G7 Teams, playing our part in the development of electronic sports," Philipp Kasprowicz, Managing Director PGS Gaming, said.

Alexander T. Mueller, spokesman of the G7 Teams, had the following to say: "The idea of G7 was always to discuss and move forward on eSports relevant topics. PGS has proven to be a major player in competitive gaming and it was a logical step for them to join the G7 and their discussions. Of course we are proud to welcome this organisation as we know them for some time now and their feedback was always more than welcome."
