The second NGL One Finals, which will be held next weekend in Berlin, come closer with every day. This time the four finalists are
Team Fnatic,
World Elite IGE,
4Kings.Intel and the title-defender
MeetYourMakers. These teams will fight for honor, glory and the huge amount of prize money between the 30th of March and the 2nd of April. Now one week before the Finals starts, two of the four attending teams have some problems with their players.
First of all, World Elite IGE, won't be able to attend the Finals with their Chinese players, as
WE.IGE.Sky, who was able to win the World Cyber Games two times in a row, and
WE.IGE.TeD, aren't able to get a visa. The same problem happened to World Elite IGE on the last WC3L Season X Finals, where they attended with three players; their Chinese players weren't able to get a visa.
The second team which has visa problems is Team Fnatic. The team, which contains players such as
Satiini or
RotterDam, won't be able to attend the Finals with their Russian players because
Xyligan wasn't able to get a visa and
Abver wasn't allowed to leave Russia due to his university.
With these problems the possible Lineups for World Elite and Team Fnatic look as follows:

Sad, I know it takes a while to get a visa but they should still plan ahead if they think they might have to leave the country.

There are whole football teams for example who "dissapear" and also alot of exchange students.
So i could also imagine the immigration office is afraid some "computer playing kids" could also take the chance and not return... censorship s**ks

Countries that aren't from EU (or due to get into EU like Croatia) and US/Canada need to apply for Shengen visa (with which you can enter any EU country), and for that if you need to have following things (more or less, depending on country) -Guarantee letter (that someone vouches for you that you won't stay in that EU country), need to be verified in local office in country you wish to visit, with official sign and signature of some ambassy guy w/e -confirmation that you are regular student, or if you are working the same from your employer -if you are student, last 12 paychecks of both your mom and dad scanned, and their confirmations from work that they are employed, and if you are employed your last 12 paychecks scanned -health insurance, booked tickets and hotel in advance, and certain ammount on your bank account deposited, like 100 euro for every day you will spend in that country. -also you need to fill a form with like 100 questions, about your family, your belongings (if you have a house/flat in your country, chances are bigger you won't emigrate, etc), your ex-trips to EU, etc, in 3 copies, which also must be verified in local office All this things aren't hard to get (ofc you'll have to wait few hours to get every paper, and pay like 100euros of taxes and other + deposited money in bank for your stay), but thing is that you need to have all papers ready and invitational letter 1-2 months before the trip date to get visa 100%, thats why Xyli probablydidn't get his visa, cause when you call ambassy to arrange an appointment, they usually are booked for a month or two in front, so you need to do it on time, and he prolly didn't think in advance. For Chinese, laws are probably more strict, and god knows what additional papers they need, probably many more other things.

#8: Is spot on... Even in India it takes a real long time and mostly the visa's are processed in a city which is far away from your own.
I can imagine what sorta task it is for these pla Besides a lot of Asian countries have spread illegal immigrants all over the world... So laws, particularly after the 9/11 attacks have become more stringent than ever.
