pxr in the spotlight

Hello, could you please introduce to the readers?

Hey! My name is Niklas Holtäng, 19 years old and living in Gothenburg. Playing for the mixteam Swecon at the ESWC Pre Qualifier at GamersParadise.

Could you please tell us how you started playing counter-strike, your past clans and how come you joined Chillside.cs?

Well, a friend of mine talked to me about this game, and he told me that I had to try it. So I came along to an internetcafe, and thats were all begon. Well my past clans ain't really much to talk about except Quattrolan, where I came in contact with JAEGARN. And about the Chillside part: I had a team going on, but suddenly one of the players moved to another country, so we bounced in to some problems and that project was shut down. Then I decided to speak to JAEGARN what his feelings were about trying to get something going, and that was the starting point.

How does it feel to be in team like Chillside.cs?

Well, how to explain the feeling. It feels great to be a part of an organisation like this one. Everyone is nice and easygoing persons, so I can't really complain. And the team, what to say about that. I would have to say that I have never had that much fun, as we had at our one week bootcamp at Playz internetcafe in Stockholm!

As far as I know you and Chillside.cs is attending CPL Summer, your aim ofcourse is to win, could you tell us how you and your team will prepare for this event?

We will just play, play and play! And when we are not playing with the team, we just try to take all our spare time to play for our selves like csdm, gathers and so on. I would say that I personally play around 10-12h/day now just to try to be in the best shape I can with my own playing.

Could you tell us why Chillside.cs didn't attend GamersParadise ESWC Pre-Quali, and why you with JAEGARN are playing in mix?

van1ty is graduating on friday, and since he lives about 250km away from Stockholm, It would be a problem for him coming so early.

Explain how a normal day looks like for you!

At the moment I have a 3 month vacation from my work, so it would be something like this: Get up around 10-11 in the morning, get some breakfast and go on a 30min-1h walk. Then I'll grab a quick shower and start to play. I'll then warm up for about 2hours or so, and then start to play some mixes, and around 17, It's time for some dinner and also a short walk after the dinner. And after all that we'll play from around 18-24 with the team. And after that I'll keep on playing mixes and gathers until I'm ready for bed around 02-03.

What is your first impression of mYm.CS so far?

Well, I havn't had the chance to talk to the players so much, the only thing I could really comment is on our bootcamp we had at Playz. Hmm what to say, I thought that they had a great feeling in the team at that point. Right now I don't really know what to say, I'll wait until saturday to answer that!

After a few events lately people have started to notice your amazing aim and game. Have you always been recognized for your play or is this something that has devolped in recent time?

For me it has just started, I have been starting to play more and more this last year, and I can't really complain on where I am today.

Do you watch demos a lot for practice? If so, do you like IN-EYE or HLTV more, and why?

Yes I do, I try to watch so many as I have time for. I like to look at both. We try to bring some new never seen before tactics into the game. We sometimes spend hours of hours to just run around, finding new flashes, new positions etc.

How did you come up with the nick pxr?

haha, don't really know, it wasnt pxr from the beginning, but I really don't wanna bring up the original nick :D

Have you played any other games before Counter-strike on a serious level?

Not on a serious level no.

Tell us about your most rememberable moment from the years of gaming!

Haha, have to be when we played our showgame versus mYm, and decided before the game to do Iskall's old pistol round as T on dust2. And half way in the round we heard him say something like "They are doing my old round!!" :D

What do you think about Chillside.cs performance at Krangparty?

I ain't really happy with the performance. The game we had versus Lehnitz ended 13-16, but still we were down 1-9 as CT, and 6-1 as T. We could have done that game a lot better. The same versus c9, we did alot of misstakes, and that cost us the game. They played better then us, nothing more to say. Sure we did some good games in the Lb, but overall I can't be happy about our Krangparty performance.

What is your personal aim at the GamersParadise ESWC Pre-Quali?

My aim is to be able to come 1:st or 2:nd in our group, that would make me happy atleast. But I wouldn't say no to a place on DreamHack!

Who do you think will be your toughest opponent at Gamers Paradise this weekend?

There I would have to say NiP.

Could you tell us few words about each Chillside.cs player?

- JAEGARN: You can't find a guy with any stranger humor then him!
- raxxe: The guy that tell us something in danish all the time.
- van1ty: Just crazy.
- Nippo: Well, he lives somewhere in the woods.

In your opinion, who is the most overrated player in Sweden?

I sat with this question for about 15min, and I can't come up with an answer...

Have you ever thought about leaving esports and what you will do when your career ends?

I have a work at the same time as I'm playing, so the day I stop, I'll just keep on going like normal.

How do you think the esport will develope in five years from now?

I don't really know. It could develope a lot in both ways, so It's hard to say. Of course I would like it to be for the better, but who knows.

Thanks for your time, last words is yours dude.

I would like to thank all persons that are behind us and believing at us! And thanks to all sponsors! And a little shoutout to reconze for having some strange plans for this weekend :)
