As my exams had finished and time was on my side, I caught up with TEK-9's Call of Duty all star, Davy 'Davy' Sysmans and asked him a few questions on how he and his team was preparing for the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warefare bonanza this summer!

Hello Davy! To start us off could you give us a brief introduction about yourself?

Hi, I’m Davy Sysmans from Herentals in the almighty Belgium. Currently studying Interactive Multimedia Design in college at Mechelen. I’m currently 20 years old . I’m actually part Polish, my mother is originally from Poland but has been living in belgium for over 25 years now. 25 years back she was actually planning to buy a car in France and return to her homecounrty, but she got to know my father who apparently was a real casanova ^_¨.

For most casual gamers you are renowned for your Tek-9 leadership and your valiant first place win at the World Series of Video Games. However with this summer being host to many high stake events how are The Tek-9 Team keeping in shape?

We recently switched kAMMYz with Stevy so we could hopefully secure a good active form before the summer lans. If we can keep that up things should work out fine for us. For now we should hope for a top3 placing at every event.

So can you give us an insight into how a
Tek-9 training regime would be on an every day basis?

On weekdays we start playing from around 20 cet till around 23.30cet, usually we dont play on friday and saturday but it happens from time. When needed ozwald comes up with some tactics and we will check them out for around 30 mins, after that it's just the usual 5v5 servON spam.

Nice! In addition to your standard training schedule will you be adding anything specific as the summer lans come ever so closer, for example an early bootcamp?

We're looking into a bootcamp just before AEF and it should happen if it fits our schedule. We wont change anything else.

Recently Tek-9 announced the loss of kAMMYz and the recruitment of former Team Coolermaster player Stevy. How is Stevy fitting into the lineup as a player and a friend?

I've known Stevy for a while and knew his capabalities. He's fitting well in the team and we're having lots of laughs! I'm sure we'll have a great time at lan as we did with kammyz.
