Hello everyone. Today we caught up with Martin "Darky" Sieczkowski, head manager of PGS Gaming. We asked him about the present situation in the clan, future plans and the esport situation in his country. There will be no mysteries in this short interview, invigilation is full. Enjoy!

Hello Darky, could you introduce yourself to our readers?

My name is Martin Sieczkowski, in the internet you can see me using Darky nickname. I am 22 years old and from few years I am studying, living and working in the capital of Poland – Warsaw. Currently I am Head Manager of PGS Gaming esport organisation.

Like you said, you are now head manager of PGS Gaming- one of the biggest organisations in the world. Could you tell us the cirumstances of ryans departure?

Filip Kasprowicz, known also as ryan, former Head Manager and still Managing Director of PGS decided to involve less in the current organisation affairs. First of all he got not enough time too realise everything in the best way. Also, Filip wanted and got to put more effort in his studies. In the end of October i met PGS council, Head Manager position was offered to me and I accepted it.

But you are studying as well. Will Darky take care of PGS Gaming better than ryan?

Well, for my hobby and simultaneusly for my job I decided to change studies to extramural ones. Now I have studies only during Saturdays and Sundays and in the week I spent at least 40 hours for full time job in PGS office in Warsaw. Unfortunately because of busy weekends I do not have time to attend LANs and cheer for my players there.

Does the job you perform require additional time to complete? In other words: is this job hard for you or time consuming?

Before I was working in PGS as Project Manager. I realised and/or planed separate projects and I didn't ever say that it was very hard job, but severe. Currently I hardly find time for everything but I think it is about organisation work procedures and I got to improve myself and whole organisation.

You mentioned that you want to improve the organisation in your clan. We heard about some conflicts between players and redaction and a few more. Most of them can be rumours, but since you won't deny it, we are led to believe it's true. Are there any problems inside the clan? What about sLh being kicked from the wc3 division?

In such a big organisation as PGS is (where more then 100 people work) problems are unavoidable. It is bad that some are publically visible because every such problem produces 100 rumors. There is no big conflict in PGS at the moment, but there are some solitary ones which are systematically solved whenever both sides want to solve them. According to sLh case I clearly contradict that he was kicked/released from PGS. Misunderstandings often happen when players english isn't very well.

Something must be true. Your Counter Strike division, which won nearly everything last year, did not win anything special this year. You signed new contracts with players, despite MYM's proposition, and the team went down. Is your team planning anything new, how about organisation?

Soon year 2008 will begin and we got really big plans for this time. Changes in communication and work schedule are even now being executed. About CounterStrike division – you cannot expect that team will win everything everywhere everytime. It is hard to say if it is about bad shape or gamers attitude, but I am sure that these 5 players will achieve a lot in the future and I wish them so.

In terms of the upcoming year, what plans does your organisation have for PGS Gaming?

As you propably know I could not give you our exact plans. We wish to expand our activities in every segment, starting from divisions, by internet esport portal, online shop and events organisation. Currently you could see everyday-posted-articles and weekly tournametns and raffles in our polish page and we wish to still increase number of such things in future.

Is there any small chance that we will see an international version of the PGS Gaming site? Every single gaming organisation has an english/german version of their site. PGS shouldn't be different.

We got plans about english website, but as we act mainly in Poland esport market it is not the highest priority for us.

Like you mentioned at the beginning you took the position of head manager. What was your old position, project manager? Have you chosen a replacement already?

Couple of my tasks were taken by our Content Manager (Guandi – Maciek Śliwiński), couple by Communication Manager (JoeBlack – Jakub Paluch) and couple by new person in our organisation – marketing assistant (Lobo – Andrzej Skorupski).

Lets talk a bit about the WC3 division. Many people in Poland were waiting for the Grand Finals of WPL league between PGSPokerStrategy and other polish organisation, Team Delta. Delta came out victorious. Any comments?

To be honest I was hoping to win WPL but it is good that title is in Poland (while only 1 player from Poland played in final match :p). We won vs Team Delta in group stage, lost in the playoffs. Next clash will come in WC3L Qualis and lets see the outcome (and cheer for PGS!)

Are you planning any changes for the Warcraft III division? What are your future plans?

We got finals of German ESL 'Bundesliga' coming next week. Our players for sure deserved spot in the final match and they will prove in the ESL TV Studio that they deserved title! When it comes about changes in the roster I would only say you got to check our webpage – www.PGS.PokerStrategy.com often because something 'big' is coming.
