JAEGARN - What went wrong in Paris?

Hi JAEGARN. First of all, describe us your feelings after this year's amazing ESWC event.

The event was great, sadly we didn't have any time to prepare with bootcamps since me and threat were away with our friends on vacation, so we didn't achieved a great performance at all, but we are setting our goal for GameGune now, so hopefully we will do a lot better there.

Begrip started off the season with a small mediatic scandal, when face broke out his contract. What were your objectives at that time?

Well of course it was sad to lose two great players, but still we knew that we could build up a strong and perhaps a better lineup than before, so we tried some different rosters out, and we found the perfect one, during the swedish qualifier when we took down fnatic in the grouplay, and won vs NiP in the semi-final to get to Paris. But the most important thing in Counter-Strike is to have fun, and we really do with this, and when you have fun, you usually rise and get better with the team, and that's what we do.

After Tentpole and face went to NiP, you had to take on fresh and young talents. You already played with threat in MYM, and we can't say he's totally unknown, but what about GeT_RiGhT?

I have known threat for a long time now. And it feels like we have played for ages together. He´s a great friend and also one of the best players that i have had the privelege to play with. Hes the smart type of players that always suprise you in hard situations, and he is also our in-game leader that gives you great knowledge and trust in each and every round he calls. GeT_RiGhT is our young rising star. We picked him up after Rendevouz, but already 1-2 years ago i knew that his skill and set piece was remarkeble. He always makes does clutch and important round and hes surely a winner that never gives up, and i love playing with him. He´s also a partyanimal!

The first event you attended, the Spixelania, brung much attention on Begrip, as you guys managed to beat all your oppenents before facing up NiP in the Final, which you lost. Were you really expecting such a good performance? Did something changed in your organization and your way of training from that?

We just found the right lineup that fit Begrip and each others playing style verry well. We have a lot of fun together and that's what is important when you are searching for succes. You can't sit around just playing randomly with guys that just whine and get you in a mad mode. Then you just get angry! so that's my personal tip. But we really did good at both Spixelania and the Swedish ESWC qualifier. But we are still young as a team, and i hope that we can achive much in the future.

You finally reached the final of the event which was considered as the most difficult ESWC qualifier this year. Begrip against fnatic, fresh challengers versus big favourites, what was your state of mind before that crucial match? Your ESWC tickets already in pocket at that stade of the competition, do you think you would have played differently if there was only one available spot for Paris?

Of course we had, since it wasn't a hundred percent important game. But we just tryed to focus and play our game, and sadly we weren't able to get the rounds needed at the end but i am really happy with our performance, and fnatic are amongst the best in the world with experience from alot of different events lately.

What do you think about NiP invitation to ESWC? In your opinion, would SK be able to get back to the right track in the upcoming months?

I dont have much to say about NiP´s invitation but I guess it was a huge boost for the players in their team. Even if SK had been playing better at the recent games, its the eswc rules that counts and they happend to do better in the ESWC then SK even if the groups was really randomly seeded.

Let's talk about your time at Paris. The one million dollar question is none other than; What happened to Begrip at ESWC?

Like i said earlier, we didn't really had the time to prepare since me and threat had booked our vacation a half year ago, and we couldn't really jump it and ditch our friends. So we just tryed to go there and play with our old strats and with some individual skill, but the teams just played us with anti-strats. So i guess we have learned our lessons to not book the vacation too much early.

Hopefully, the GameGune will be held next week, and you planned to attend it. What kind of preparation will you go throught this time? Have you already began training?

We are already bootcamping for GameGune, and we really want to make a great comeback since ESWC was terrible, so its time to show the Counter-Strike scene what Begrip is all about.

Thank you for your time JAEGARN. The last word is yours.

I would like to thank EHT wich is the best sponsor in the world, and also sennheiser and QPAD.
