Review: Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset

ICEMAT INFORMATION

The original Icemat was launched in 2000, targeted at one of the most demanding consumer groups in the world: gamers. Since then, Icemat has expanded their portfolio and offers today a wide range of products. Everything is created by people who demand as much from the visual design as they do from the performance of the final product. The 2nd Edition Icemat mouse pads are (just as the original) made of glass and offers unprecedented precision and style in no less than 8 different colours. The Icemat Siberia headsets come in different flavours and sizes with both full-size and in-ear models available. For further information please visit www.icemat.com.

TESTING

My sweet black laptop and Sony walkman has been my two best friends for the past two weeks as they were helping me out with analyzing my "test subject" - Icemat Siberia In: Ear Headset. I suddenly became a movie and a music monster who just couldn't stop. I also tried them when playing my daily doze of games on my trusted computer.

The headset was a big hit when I spendt some time in the hospital as it managed to isolate the sound. Luckely, I had music available through the In:Ear Headset, which helped me to relax and made the time fly away.

Still I'm not sure about the Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset, as they sometimes fall out when I'm moving around a lot, but it could be that my ears are more misshaped then others. I really enjoyed the changeable earpieces as you can choose which you want to use.

There is not much to say about the sound quality of the Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset as it became clear early on that there was nothing to complain about. It seems Icemat has chosen not to save money in the sound department like other companies often tend do.

GAMING

A lot of professional players play with them, mostly in Warcraft 3, but also while playing Counter-Strike. One of the players in Team3D actually choose to use a Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset at a LAN event when his own headset broke. He even he had the opportunity to borrow another headset, but chose his trusted In:Ear piece.

I recommend you to try and play a game or two with them if you have only tried them when listening to music. You will be suprised!

The microphone is also a big plus as it is the best I have ever seen. It is pretty adjuztable and can be placed on your jacket to name one example.

In closing I would like to recommend you the
Icemat Siberia In:Ear Headset, and I really hope you will enjoy it!
