DP|xylm on Kode5 and more

I wanted to make an interview with one of the players from the best turkish Counter-Strike team at the moment, Turkey DarkPassage. And I managed to find one, Turkey xylm, who I had a longer talk with about several topics. Two of them being the KODE5 Turkey and the WCG Turkey event, both won by DarkPassage.

But the team were not able to attend KODE5 China, which is being held right this moment. Therefore, this article will shed some light on the matter and give an insight into to the turkish team and scene.

- Hello DP|xylm, can you first introduce to our readers ?

DP|xylm: - Hello, I am Timucin 'xylm' Argilli, 19 years old. Currently I study at the Sakarya University in my second semester. And of my hobbies is Counter-Strike. I am playing for the best Turkish clan at the moment DarkPassage !

- I'd really like to hear some of your latest achievements and more about your way to the top in Turkey!

- DP|xylm: - Our way to the top of Turkish esports was not easy... We also played worse than now, but since the end of 2004 we showed a high performance and since the 1-st quarter of 05 I think we are the best team here.

We have also victories before this time, for example the WCG Turkey Finals 4-th rank, ESWC qualifier 2005 3-rd place or the CPL Turkey 5-th place, the CPL Turkey Stop 05 6-th rank and the Abi Fragfest 3-th place. But in the middle of 2005 the big tournaments ended and we only could show our power at local LAN parties.

One example is that we won 5 of 8 Adeks Lan parties where the best teams of Turkey were attending, other cafe tournaments like the Ugurnet Invites, Misal Kafe, Coolnet Kafe, MilkyGameArea Izmir, BeoF Ankara, Orange2, CansunNetCafe, Alien Cafe and CoolHand Cafe Tournaments.

Our latest victories were the 1-st place at the ESL Turkey Cup 06, 1-st place of the KODE5 Qualifier and 1-st place at qWCG Turkey.

- Can you tell me about how you experienced the atmosphere in the team when you won KODE5 Turkey ?

DP|xylm: - Yes, we were happy about the 1st place at the KODE5 qualifications, but we didn't really show it to the other participants. To win a qualification which brings us to the outside of Turkey is really a big, but we were really sure about the 1st place and we were not afraid or doubted that we would lose this tournament. Just because we trained a lot.
