The girl next door? Yes maybe, she is a beautiful girl, who has nothing to do the whole day than playing Warcraft 3 and DotA. It is kind of funny to talk with her and she is helping me a lot with this article, everything I requested I got from her. With a nice smile all the time in her pictures it was really funny to talk.

So let me introduce her a bit:

Mao is one part of the small female scene in Warcraft 3, as you can imagine the scene in Malaysia is even smaller. She is 21 and works in a Cybercafe. She and her boyfriend, who is playing in the WCG in Malaysia, have been together for a long time and she says that she watches him play all the time.

When I asked her about her start in playing Warcraft he aswered me that she started in '97 when she was working in a cybercafe and saw people play. Then her friend explained the game to her and since that day she has been playing WarCraft 3. Not many people in Battle.net believe her that she is a woman, since her reaction and playing is nearly the same as a guy's one. But when I asked her about the difference between male and female eSports she said that, men are just faster in their reaction, the rest is the same. Girls understand the game as well as guys do!
 

She is a big MYM]Moon fan and she always watches his games, she said. When she is not watching games she plays DotA. DotA is her favorite and she told me that she got a "panda eye due to mass playing". When Mao bought a PC she just asked for one with which she is able to play her favorite game: Warcraft.

I was wondering what her name means and she told me that "Mao" means "Cat" in Chineese, that is why her favorite food is fish. That was one of the highlights I got from her.
 

I can tell you, she wakes up in the morning and is working the whole day in that cybercafe. When she comes home, she watches her boyfriend play or play herself. After that she eats something and then plays the whole day.

I asked about her weekends, if she goes out in the city of Kuala Lumpur. She answered me: No, playing is more fun to me!

With 35-40 ° C it is too hot to run around outside, so the people have to stay inside their houses since they have no chance to survive outside in the heat. That's why I don't like Malaysia! No rain, it is only hot!

I dont know why, but I like FoV more than Lucifer, altough he is a really good player, those are her feelings about Lucifer.

Her favorite Battle.net friend is from India and his account is Darkboi on the GGC, and in Battle.net he is Phoenix_darkmon. I think good players or people with knowledge about the scene know the clan pnix. He is the only one who knows that I am a girl, the other guys don't know that, since I am too lazy to let them know and they do not believe me anyway.

Reallife?

The shy girl, who lives with her family, has two sisters (17 & 23) and one brother (25). She finished her a-level at the age of 17 and started working. In the beginning she worked 12 hours a day as a cashier in a popular cybercafe, but then she minimized the work due to her boyfriends wishes and due to professional gaming.

I was also wondering where Mao goes for holidays and she told me that she only goes to Singapore. But the next trip will be to Korea since there are so many ProGamers and she could play there.
